After turning off "Smart Notifications" more notification emails began to come in, although still noticeably fewer than before. Now this morning I see a cross-post notification in my email inbox from "Where are the numbers?" that doesn't appear in my inbox on the Substack website. That's a switch. The cross-post was not deleted, and I am subscribed there. Do cross-posts not ever show in my Substack inbox?
An option in the user profile called "Smart Notifications" has appeared, and I had it turned on -- whether by default or because I clicked it I don't know.
I have been receiving almost no notifications, even from the few other posts that have been made in my subscriptions, and I wonder if this option is what was suppressing them. I have changed the setting to "Email and app", so that they hopefully come through the way they did before.
I have been having a problem with Substack for a few days not opening up correctly and other snafu which is irritating especially if you are busy and get a moment to do some reading, but can't!
I've noticed a few oddities too, but I haven't spent much time here since my last regular post on Saturday. One of the oddities was an incoming post that showed up in my inbox on the website, but never turned up in my email inbox.
I kind of wondered if everybody had just gone over to Notes and stayed there, but I think that's been frozen for hours now too.

Interesting. The missing notification email eventually turned up, a little while after I discovered it missing.

Hopefully it will get resolved soon but it does seem wacked up for now.
