My mother used to say, when I couldn’t find something that was in plain sight, “if it were a snake it would’ve bit you”. It’s not difficult to overlook things. Visual perception is complex, and lots of things can impede seeing. And our brains need training in order to know how to filter, organize, and interpret volumes of incoming sensory information. If the filters are off target, or the distractions too great, we might just overlook the obvious “snake” right there next to us.
How are you trained? What don’t you see? That’s hard to answer, isn’t it? Fundamentally so. And yet what we are trained not to see is, obviously, a vital aspect of our understanding. How many minds, young and old, are being trained on what to see and not see by schools, social media platforms, and TV? Are these good foundations for such purposes?
Another way to phrase the question, not exactly the same but closely related, is to ask what are your assumptions? Ask in context. When you make an assertion, ask the question. Neither of these questions is easy to answer, but not to ask is to invite being led about blindly. And if your leader is also blind, which is quite possible, you’ll both fall into a pit. (Now where did I come up with that?1)
Every day I see essays here on Substack and elsewhere calling us to action to stop certain unelected globalists and their plans for world domination, enslavement, and depopulation. I agree, this must be stopped. But what are our assumptions about who is able to stop it? Well, going by what I read, a fundamental assumption is that it is entirely up to us, whether we can do it or not, because there is nowhere else to turn. Is this assumption challenged? No, not as a rule, although there are a few outliers, myself included, that do suggest other possibilities. For most, it appears that the point is so “obvious” that there is no need to question it. Or is there? Is there perhaps an alternative right in front of our noses? (I have another post in the mill relating to this last question. Coming soon, I hope.)
How did we and this world of ours come to exist in the first place, and does it have a purpose? What are your assumptions about that? Do you have a prepared answer? Is it a popular one, one that others are likely to agree with? Have you thought beyond the value of “agreement”? Does it matter if we understand our origin? What are your assumptions about that?
This post is intended as a disussion thread, and I would like to hear from you. We need not agree.
We try to stay under the radar. Thankfully, me and my five siblings and our offspring are not enamored with Allopathic medicine so it was a no brainer for us to avoid the event of the so called plague that really wasn't. The only plague is the agenda of the people of the darkness. On to the other subject matter of where did we come from and why are we here. I distinctly remember telling my mother when I was about four years old, that I remembered her and Dad in "heaven" before we came down to the earth to live here. I doubt that she took me seriously but I was serious. We are here to progress and learn about earth life. Our choices can make or break us and hopefully we'll turn to our Maker for comfort, guidance and direction on our journey to grow and learn from the troubles and trials that we all have been given or chosen. After we die and our spirit leaves this world we will probably continue our journey of progression in the eons of eternity in some Heavenly realm. Those who chose darkness will not progress and will be captive to their owner of their souls and will not continue to progress in the eternal realm. I have no available scripture at this time to add to my thoughts on this subject.
Yes, I've thought about that. Without having to think about it too much I found myself distancing from the people that I knew that had fallen prey to the lies of the "authorities". The less they knew where I was or what I was up to, the better. That doesn't make me "safe", but when your friends are turning into zombies, look out! I also reached out to others with warnings, and two of them listened!
