I know you are correct and unfortunately we humans have an affinity to do evil works if we choose to follow the crowd and prosper from our sins for a time. Reading the scriptures and studying the good news that Jesus Christ came in the meridian of time to teach us that He is the way, the truth and the life. That knowledge will set us free from the bondages of sin to have a happier life in spite of troubles and trials that help us to become more Christlike. It's a choice that we all have to make.

Yes, Jesus is the answer to all the questions. In my comments on other blogs (mostly Substack but not all), I word things according to what I think I understand about the original author and the expected audience, seeking some kind of common ground of understanding that might connect.

These are tough audiences. For this kind of one-way outreach, I start here:

Rom. 1:19-20 (CSB) "...since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse."

The truth _is_ visible to all. Contrary beliefs obscure it. But there is a possibility for setting aside beliefs, at least momentarily, and looking at the real world, which shouts "creation", which in turn shouts "Creator".

From there, everything else can begin to fall into place.
