To Be Clear...
Well, not to be too clear, but ClearMiddle is more like a nickname than a pseudonym. It’s a play on words of my actual name. “Clarifications” is somehow involved as well, but that’s all I’m going to say about that.
I read or skim a good many blog posts week to week, and I have watched many hours of videos in recent years, particularly from 2017 onward, although I prefer reading to viewing (or listening). Most of the blogs I follow now are on Substack, the writers having been driven there by one thing or another.
For the most part I look for witnesses to things happening in the world — unusual things — and they can be honest witnesses, or dishonest ones, or sneaky dishonest ones, or just deceived. It doesn’t matter too much. In searching for testimony that is true, I find it necessary to learn about deception, and that does not exclude my own. Of course I spend more time with those who present evidence and much less with those who make claims and attempt to persuade without evidence, and more time with evidence that I can validate.
I come across many people seeking truth, and many capable investigators digging into and exposing the who, what, when, and where. When it comes to the "why", however, there is often sighing followed by quiet, at end of post. Things don't add up. Could there possibly be things we are missing, perhaps even possibilities that we rejected and excluded from our thinking long ago? I have certainly found that to be the case in my own life, and the way out of that kind of belief-trap has been through clarification, sometimes resulting from intervention. The issues weren't always what I imagined them to be.
Sometimes I encounter ideas upon which I would like to elaborate or possibly that I would like to seek to clarify, and this blog is meant as a place to do that without making a mess on other peoples' blogs. If any of it appeals to you, you are welcome to tag along and maybe even contribute to the mess here, as long as you go about it constructively.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” (Matt. 7:7–8 NAS20)
