I've already moved on to "Breathe". This is one of my "cry" songs, a love song really. The altos and sopranos are in unison in quite a few places, however, which puts me at the top of my range, which somehow keeps me from crying, so it all works out.
Many of the anthems, including this one, have demo tracks on the distributors' websites, and I have software that can download them so that I can slow down to practice speed and work up to full tempo. In this piece when we're not in unison, the altos (and tenors and basses) have interesting moving parts that are easy to read and learn if slowed down at first. I do see sectionals coming as well.
Yes, this is an unusual song and melody but I really like the message! I have been feeling weary and this is a wonderful antidote!!
I was feeling a little weary from the amount of at-home practice time I had to put in, but felt much better afterward. 😊It's those chords!
Keep up the good work! Sacred music and song are food for our spirit and soul!

And oh, the chords!
