I am sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. After our faithful Boston Terrier died we decided that we were done with pets and so we didn't have any for eight years until this beautiful butterscotch wild Tabby cat ran into our yard meowing like his life was about to end if we didn't feed him. So he adopted us. He comes in during the day to eat and sleep and then in the evening he leaves to go chase buffalo somewhere or maybe he has another human family to visit.

Ah, so sad. I am a feline fanatic, and once had six cats, but time sadly takes them away. May You adjust to their absence and maybe... You will be blessed with more? Presuming You want another cat or two...

Love always!

My heart goes out to you, for your loss of your two dear ones. The time they walk with us, sharing life together, is so very precious.

My partner and I are currently facing a similar thing with our sweet Kitty, who is 17 1/2 and has been with me since she was a wee kitten. She has kidney disease, like your Bella had, plus some other cofactors, and until recently, had been full of life.

About a week ago, her desire to eat or to drink started to diminish… and the last few days it seems to have disappeared almost completely. She retreats into her daisy-laden woollen ‘cave’ more and more, which I now recognize as hiding. She has lived her life with verve, and is such a dearly beautiful part of our lives/hearts, but she is tired. She loves us, but soon we know she will be needing to leave. Her body is shutting down. We are giving her fluids subcutaneously, to see whether that will help to ease the rest of her moments here in her body. We hoped that it might help her be able to eat again for awhile. So far it hasn’t. Hopefully the fluids are helping though, to make her more comfortable, while we wait for the doctor to reassess and help her release..

Thank you for listening. My kitty mama heart is hurting. Ah what a whirlwind year it has been.

bless
